The Founding Father of Arva Corp.

Is the pioneer of Arva Corporation, graduate as Master of Accountancy from Institute of Finance and Government Accountancy (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Keuangan Negara/ S.T.I.K.N) in the year of 1964. His carreer started in 1951 in the Departement of Finance Republic of Indonesia, in 1965 he was seconded to the Attorney General Office in the High Commission on the Financial Control of the Government of Indonesia until he submitted his resignation in 1967, coincided with his completion in fulfilling the mandatory working contract in return for his scholarship program from the government. Despite his promising career in the Departement of Finance as a beaurocrat, his entrepreneurship instinct called him to be a businessman. He has worked and founded several companies, among others are : PT. Fajar Mas Murni, PT. Apotik Fajar, PT. Suri, PT. Taluson Pembangunan Enterprise, PT. Menteng Sarana Wisata, PT. Djambak Mas, PT. Sofyan Fajar Wisata, PT. Sofyan Danamal, PT. Sofyan Hotels Tbk., PT. Reksa Yasaniaga, and PT. Sofyan Reksagraha.

Only with a very limited capital earned through long hardship, which has just started to bloom, Drs. Sofyan Ponda with his keen entrepreneurship instinct encourage him to start in the property business. In his business, he consistently uses modern management principles, but yet preserving values and the teaching that were inherited to him. The blending of the above mentioned management principles and philosophical values; embraced the rule of business conducts of ARVA CORPORATION. With Allah SWT blessings and through his dedication to the work and professionalism, he laid a strong foundation for the company, without any privileges or any concession from the government.
